Biography
The Nail Heaven concept started with a passion for all things nails! I would often paint friends nails and apply nail art and it wasn't long before I started to get interested in enhancements, not just wearing them but learning how to apply them. Coming from a background in Branding & Marketing, it was a huge step to think about changing my career into the nail industry though having said that my background has served me extremely well. So, with a lot of research into the nail industry and various product companies', I embarked on a foundation training course, which I successfully passed. Then with a desire to learn everything possible I attended several more training classes and then set myself up as a mobile technician on a part time basis, thus Nail Heaven was born!
Just after giving birth to my second child in 2005, my family and I decided to relocate from the South to Shropshire in the West Midlands, where I would know no-one and my business would have to start all over again – it was a daunting prospect and I was very apprehensive but determined to make it work. Knowing I wanted to be static and not mobile I re-started the Nail Heaven Nail Studio as soon as I moved and marketed myself as much as possible with flyers, promotions, newspaper ads and editorial pieces, demo days and generally finding any excuse or opportunity to be somewhere with my business cards and nail adverts! I was asked by my local college to come and do some lecturing part time for VCTC Level 2 & 3 students which was a great experience and I even managed to convert the college into using my favoured EzFlow products!
I have now lived in Shrewsbury for 2 ½ years and within that time have achieved more than I ever thought I would. Some of my step by step design nails have been featured in Industry magazines and I have been asked to participate in surveys and debates with comments on certain industry issues. Pictures of my nails are featured on several well known nail art websites and I achieved my EzFlow Master Artist status in July 2007.
I believe education is the key to success in this business and have therefore achieved my goal of becoming an EzFlow Educator, and I am now passing on my experience, knowledge, passion and fun to whomever wishes to learn!
